Hello!
I am a cancer survivor, mother, grandmother, and woman of great deep spirituality with a large dose of discernment who has learned that some of life’s greatest lessons are born through pain, perserverance, and personal growth.
For many years, I carried the weight of family struggles, heartbreak, loss and the challenges that come with simply trying to live in peace.
Through those experiences, I discovered the importance of courage, boundaries, forgiveness, and protecting the joy that GOD intended for us to have.
This blog is my space to share honest reflections about life, relationships, grief, healing, motherhood, faith, and the wisdom that comes from surviving difficult seasons and people.
I write not as an expert as a writer, but as someone who has walked through storms and continues to choose hope and peace.
My desire is that these stories encourage others to know they are not alone, that healing is possible, and that peace is worth protecting,
You might have to close the doors on relationships that you once tolerated, and move a few folks out of your space but you will need to do what is best for you to perserve your peace and joy.
Not everyone is for you. Be careful of the smiles you may receive and the I LOVE YOU’s.
with peace and love,
Doretha (Dee) Bounds Burrell
p.s. when I started blocking folk, and ceased contact with a few…,… I begin to heal and feel at peace.
